Multi-Spring Appliance - Mesial/Distal Anterior Positioning
1076

It is hard to perform cosmetic dentistry without having the ability to move teeth. Picture attempting to do veneers or crowns on this patient without first moving these teeth. The result would be extremely thick veneers, and oversized crowns. Maybe you could mask their improper position and achieve a cosmetic result but at what cost? Why compromise, when performing a small amount of tooth movement would allow you to achieve a superior outcome? This simple appliance demonstrates the use of kicker springs for the mesial and distal movement, recurved springs for labial movement and T-springs for lingual movement. Each spring is activated by finger pressure or with a 139 bird-beak plier and can be easily adjusted to better position the teeth prior to the placement of veneers, crowns or jackets.
