This splint is a maxillary repositioning splint for patients who clench or grind. The anterior deprogramming ramp is modified for both comfort and function. The center of the ramp is relieved, forming a loop which keeps the mandible in the protrusive position. The loop creates more space for the tongue and improves comfort.

This design has acrylic that is carried back to the molars, however, there is no posterior occlusal coverage.  Clasps are included for optimum retention.  A Construction Bite is required to provide the desired AP and vertical position of the mandible.
